## How do I get started?

Kidz Fun Art is a free art app optimized for use on a tablet or computer. It works great with Wacom tablets, iPads, Apple Pencils, Microsoft Surface, Android tablets and more!

To get started, simply download the app from

- [Web App](https://kidzfun.art) - works on any device with a web browser, you can even install it on your home screen like a native app.
- [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kidz-fun-art/id6443621939), iPad only.
- [Microsoft Store](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9npwjmg2ps51). Works great on touch enabled Surface devices, but also with mouse and Wacom tablets.

If you like the app, you have the option of subscribing to unlock all the features. If you prefer to keep using the free version, there are still loads of great features included.

## How do even young kids use the AI Colouring Page creator?

To make the AI generator fun and easy for kids of all ages, we have designed it to be simple and intuitive. Kids can choose from a range of themes, such as animals, nature, or fantasy, and the AI will then generate a unique colouring page based on their choices.

## Infinite Choices

For older kids and adults, the AI generator allows you to directly specify
precisely what you want to see. Simply tap the pencil icon and type
in your prompt. Don't worry though, we make sure that, no matter what is
written, the AI will only generate safe and fun images for kids.

When you sign up to Kidz Fun Art, you get 10 free AI colouring pages to try out. After that, you can purchase more AI colouring pages in packs of <Env key="AI_PACK_IMAGE_COUNT"/> for €<Env key="AI_PACK_COST_EURO"/>. This covers the cost to the app of using OpenAI's DALL-E 3 image generation service, which is used to create the colouring pages.

## How does the handwriting feature work?

Your child can practice writing all the letters of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase, on one screen, or you can choose to focus on just one letter at a time. The app provides a dotted line for your child to trace over, and then they can practice writing the letter on their own.

## How does the maths feature work?

The maths feature allows your child to practice basic addition and subtraction, multiplication and division.

The simplest maths feature is the set of tables, e.g. 2 times tables. It also offers an automatically generated set of maths problems, of varying difficulty, that your child can solve. This means that they will never run out of maths problems to solve, when they finish the page, just hit the refresh button and bam! A whole new set of problems are ready to go. The app provides a fun and interactive way for your child to learn and practice their maths skills.

## What animation features does Kidz Fun Art have?

Kidz Fun Art focuses on making animations easy and fun, with a simple interface that allows kids to create animations quickly. Some examples of the animation tools available are:

- **Animation Frames**: Create animations by adding frames. Each frame displays the faded out version of the previous frame, so you can see how your animation will look as you create it.

## What sketching features does Kidz Fun Art have?

For simply drawing with colours, Kidz Fun Art starts little artists off with a simple marker tool,
but it also provides many different brushes and tools that are easy for kids to sketch with. Some examples of the sketching tools available are:

- **Marker**: The simplest drawing tool, use the pen to draw with a solid colour, or with pretty rainbow colours.
- **Pencil**: A simple pencil tool that allows you to sketch with a pencil-like effect. If your tablet's pen
  supports pressure sensitivity, you can create lighter or darker lines by pressing harder or softer.
- **Crayon**: A crayon that allows you to create a more textured effect in different sizes
- **Fountain Pen**: A fountain pen that allows you to create a more elegant effect, with the width of the line changing based on how hard you press the pen.
- **Highlighter**: A semi-transparent marker that allows you to create beautiful effects, layering colours on top of each other.
- **Straight Line**: A tool that allows you to draw straight lines, perfect for creating geometric shapes or straight edges.
- **Ellipses & Circles**: A tool that allows you to draw perfect circles and ellipses, great for creating round shapes.

## Let's get a bit crazy!

Of course, there's more to making art than just sketching with a pen or pencil!
When your little artist is ready add some bling to their drawings, there's a lot
of fun tools to play with, such as:

- **Solid Fill**: Fill in large areas with a solid colour, one tap and you're done!
- **Gradient Fill**: Fill in large areas with a gradient. You can even design yourown gradients with the gradient editor, and choose the direction of the gradient.
- **Stars**: Fill in areas with pretty stars, or draw stars anywhere you like.
- **Sand**: With it's unique physics engine, drop sand of any colour, or a range of colours, anywhere you like. The app uses physics to make the sand fall and settle around your drawing, creating a really unique effect.
- **Water Balloon**: Another fun physics tool that allows you to throw water balloons at your drawing, creating a splash effect. You can even choose the colour of the water.
- **Bubbles**: Blow bubbles of any colour, or a range of colours, anywhere you like. The bubbles all push against each other, and you can pop them to create a really unique effect.
- **Mirror**: A tool that allows you to create symmetrical drawings by mirroring your strokes across a line or point. You can move the mirror line around and make it horizontal or vertical.
